From La Serena and Coquimbo

By Car
ElquiTerra is situated at the heart of the Elqui Valley, about 540 kms from Santiago de Chile y at 62 kms east from la Serena.
Take the "route 41" until you pass km 62,5. There is a crossroad with at least two signs “Pisquera Capel / Villaseca / El Durazno". Turn right and follow this sign. After 2,7 km you reach the “Callejón cuatro Esquinas Norte” (there is a street sign, it´s exactly between a green and a white house. There is also a red iron gate). There you turn left, after 70 meters (direction river / north) you reach the wooden gate of our Bed and Breakfast ElquiTerra, no. 31.

By Bus
The buses depart aprox. every 30 minutes from the bus terminal (Terminal de Buses) in Coquimbo (Avendida Varela 1300) and the bus terminal in La Serena (Amunátegui s/n). The busride takes about 1 hour, then you reach the bus terminal in Vicuña. From there you can take a "colectivo" (shared taxi) towards the section of “El Durazno”. It takes about 5 minutes by car to reach us.
Get off at the “Callejón cuatro Esquinas Norte” and walk 70 meters down until you reach the wooden gate of our Bed and Breakfast ElquiTerra (no. 31).

Colectivo (shared taxi)
In the "Calle Domeyko" in La Serena you can take a shared taxi with destination Vicuña. They need about 50 minutes to reach the bus terminal of Vicuña. From there you can take another colectivo to get to us (5 minutes).

From Santiago

By Bus
From Santiago the buses to La Serena and Vicuña start form the bus terminal called  "Terminal San Borja" ( metro no. 1 / Estación Central). There are various bus lines to La Serena like Pullman or Ciktur, but only the line "Expreso Norte" continues to Vicuña. The bus ride takes between 6 and 7 hours.

The flight from Santiago to La Serena takes only 45 minutes.

Directly outside the airport passes the "ruta 41" which leads to the Elqui Valley and Vicuña. You just have to cross the road and then wait for the next bus (companies "Sol del Elqui" & "Vía Elqui"). They pass aprox. every 20 to 30 minutes and you can get off at the bus terminal in Vicuña. The latest bus leaves La Serena at abt. 20.00 hrs, there are no buses at night.
From the bus terminal in Vicuña you take a "colectivo" (shared taxi) to the sector "El Durazno". Get off at the “callejón cuatro esquinas norte” and walk down 70 mtrs (no. 31).
From the "plaza" in Vicuña you can also take a taxi to reach us at a reasonable prize.
